Therapy Kitchen is a designated space to learn about food and how to eat it.
At Family Dietetics, we pride ourselves on delivering dietetics, nutrition and feeding therapy in a way that translates back to the family table.
We understand that 'fussy eating' is more physiological than behavioural,
and we individualise our weekly or fortnightly programs to account for this.
Our team of Feeding Therapists are trained in disordered eating profiles such as
Avoidant Restricive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), Delayed Oromotor skills, Paediatric Feeding Disorder and Tube Weaning.
Feeding Therapy programs that we draw from to develop our individualised programs include:
- Responsive Feeding Therapy
- Food Chaining / Linking
- DIR Floortime
- Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS)
We can additionally work on: food knowledge, cutlery skills, sensory processing difficulties
anxiety, resilience building and confidence through CBT and DBT techniques.
We work with clients of all ages and abilities at Therapy Kitchen.
